City Paws Club are leading doggy day care centre based in Chessington (KT9). We also have a Retail & Grooming Salon based in Putney (SW15) & Barnes (SW13). We are a small business with just over 20+ employees. Our dogs, clients and staff are at the heart of what we do and we are currently recruiting for a Retail & Grooming Assistant to join our friendly team.
We are looking for the right candidate to join our team who will have outstanding customer service skills and the ability to sell/upsell and cross sell effectively. You will be the first point of contact for our retail clients whilst managing our phone lines, booking system and email correspondence. You should have an excellent command of the English language both written and verbally (previous dog/retail experience will be an advantage)
Your duties will include:
• Answering all customer calls
• Making bookings for grooming appointments
• Liaising with suppliers to place orders for the shop and daycare
• Support the groomers with washing & drying the dogs
• Upselling/cross-selling all products and daycare and training services
• Maintaining and creating new shop displays
• Liaising with the management team
• Clean the shop daily, along with a weekly deep clean
• Stock takes & product labelling
• Any other duties as required

• An ability to understand the needs and wants of our customers and tailor your service and communication around them

Hours & Salary:
• 40 hours per week
• Days TBC / 09:00-17.00
• 8-hour shift with 30 minute unpaid lunch break
• £10 per hour / £19,500 per annum, full time (pro-rata)
