Time for 15 hours per week working a Sunday and Monday

As Visitor
Experience Officer you will be a vital member of RSPB Saltholme’s Visitor
Experience team helping to deliver the RSPB’s Saving Nature Strategy. You will
contribute to the development and delivery of our visitor experience on the
reserve and our events programme. Our aim is to connect people with wildlife
and maximise support for nature.
You will be working with the Visitor Experience Manager and volunteers to
ensure a coherent visitor offer is delivered whilst also working with the HQ
team to ensure the highest quality of RSPB visitor experience.
The ideal candidates will have strong communicating skills, proven experience
at delivering trails and events including those for the under 5 and a high
standard of visitor experience - if that's you we'd love to hear from you!
You will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors, delivering the highest standards of customer service and contributing to our varied events programme.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Proven ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
- A team player who can motivate and inspire people
- Problem solving skills and can work on own initiative.
- Ability to manage and respond to customer needs and feedback.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Experience of managing or supporting a team of volunteers.
- Experience of delivering a high-quality visitor offer including creating trails and running sessions for under 5’s.
- Ability to maximise opportunities for visitor engagement and income generation.
- Having contributed to a successful visitor project or visitor attraction is desirable.
