Horticultural Coordinator
Based at Hemel Food Garden
Sunnyside Rural Trust is a registered charity and has built an innovative model of care-based support around offering training and work experience to adults with Learning Disabilities, within a social enterprise and horticultural setting. Across our services we grow a range of fruit, vegetables, herbs, plants including bedding plants for Dacorum Borough Council, and perennial plants for local buyers and garden designers. We also have a Farmshop and café on site.
Salary is dependent upon skills & experience and within SRT salary band.
£24,000 – £27,000 P.A (FT)
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Coordinator who has the relevant horticulture experience, a passion for gardening, growing, and delivering quality services to further build on the excellent reputation of the charity. They will have experience of working with adults who have learning difficulties and be committed to supporting people to reach their full potential in a supportive and inspirational way.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, highly organised, responsive with an eye for detail. You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, an open & positive working manner and enjoy working as part of a team. You will need a background in horticulture and good IT skills.
