Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate experienced/semi--experienced Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations.
This role would suit an experienced dog groomer, or semi-experienced who wants career progression and to further their career. Must be able to groom most mix breeds unsupervised in 2 hours.
Hours 9am-5.30pm, 2 days - Friday and Saturday, with a view to progress to more days.

STYLIST JOB DESCRIPTION
You will report to the Salon Manager.
Each working day, you will be involved in carrying out the following duties:
- You will be responsible for all aspects of dog grooming to be delivered at the highest standard.
- Applying treatments such facials or teeth cleaning.
- Completing a groom to a breed-standard level (or of a client's choice) from start to finish. Completing a minimum of 5 full grooms per day, more if they are desheds/ toy breeds. 7/9 with a bather.
- Clipping, scissoring and hand stripping to Kennel Club Standard or client’s preference/ our recommendation.
(Please be advised that at Spoilt Rotten Pinner, we do not, under any circumstances, express anal glands, and we only pluck ear hair when asked by customers or if we recommend this to a client and get their approval.)
- You will be responsible for ensuring you take your lunch break each day and open the shop efficiently every morning and lock up securely.
- Promoting Spoilt Rotten and all services at all times.
As part of the team, you will also be responsible for smooth day-to-day running of the salon and boutique. This will include:
- Helping with the marketing of the business including managing the Facebook page/ website blogs.
- Front-desk support with signing in and out dogs and welcoming new clients.
- Answering the telephone within 3/ 4 rings and dealing with enquiries professionally.
- Following up all answerphone messages efficiently and missed calls on the phone.
- Making recommendations of products to clients, based on the needs of the dog and/ or following discussions with clients about issues/ queries they may have and following this up with the supportive product ie. a halti, new diet, stimulation toy etc.
- Selling products in the boutique and processing payments.
- Keeping all records up to date- client cards and the database.
- Daily cleaning of the salon/ boutique/ kitchen and toilet to maintain a good standard- this must be done on a daily basis the salon must be left clean, tidy and all equipment away.
- Weekly deep cleaning of the wash room.
- Sterilising of all Salon and own equipment on a weekly basis.
- Helping at extra events, such as fun days and fetes.
- Promoting extra spa treatments to every dog visiting the Salon.
- Promoting good coat maintenance between visits, including making product recommendations to support this.
- Ensuring all dogs being signed out after a visit to the salon are offered their next 1- 2 appointments to be booked and the majority booking and appointment cards being completed and given.
- Ensuring all clients receive a loyalty card/ loyalty cards are completed.
- Ensuring dogs are safe and secure at all times, and stress-free using Pet Remedy spray and extra special attention when needed.
- Overseeing and assisting with junior staff training and allocating their tasks to assist you and your role ie. their tasks working in the boutique or assisting bathing etc.
- This is subject to change as the business needs develop.
